Are you having your emails blocked by Hotmail/MSN/Windows Live when you try to send to them? Like xyz123@hotmail.com or xyz123@msn.com or xyz123@live.com One method you may try to get around the Hotmail (etc) block (I hope temporarily) would be: to use your ISP (Internet Service Provider) (who you connect to the Internet with). Like XYZ Hi Speed DSL. Or someone. They gave you at least 1 email account. You may use their outgoing email server to send messages. Ask them for the settings. Do Not change your incoming server settings. Your recipients will probably not notice. Or you may get a FREE hotmail account yourself and use those settings for your outgoing server. Lets see them block that. Outgoing = smtp.live.com SMTP 587 StartTLS login using your Hotmail userID and password.
Hotmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop3.live.com (logon using Secure Password Authentification - SPA, mail server port: 995) Hotmail Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.live.com (TLS enabled, port 587), these settings should do the trick for your incoming and outgoing mail needs.
the new incoming server is: pop3.live.com Out going server is: smtp.live.comThe Windows Live POP3 mail server settings are:• pop3.live.com - for the Incoming mail• smtp.live.com - for the Outgoing mail
For Hotmail / Windows Live mail, you do not have to specify this on iPhones. Just select "Hotmail" as the type of e-mail provider, and the iPhone will automatically enter these for you. Just enter your account credentials, and you are done!
Incoming server can refer to the mail server your mail client accesses for email.
Unless you have a Hotmail Plus account, Hotmail will not work with Apple Mail natively. There is a little app that does make it happen though, it can be found in the Related Links section below.
the SMTP server isn't based on the type of mail provider, it's based on the ISP gateway and what port is used you should be able to find out quite easily by typing 'SMPT servers' into google. assuming u have that information correct hotmail shud be irrelevant to delivery.

An incoming mail server is the computerized equivalent of a local mailman. In order for one email to get to another computer, multiple electronic transfers must be made by an incoming mail server.
