The hydraulic fluid capacity of Case IH MX 170 tractor is 25.5 gallons. It's important to use enough fluid or the transmission could be damaged.
how transmission oil capacity
Looking at the back of the tractor. On the left hand side above the PTO
64 Quarts with both filters changed.
The manual says 8 quarts or 7.6 liters of case TCH fluid ,you can use Hy-tran Ultra hydraulic fluid. I use the hydraulic transmission fluid from tractor supply and have no problems.
Remove the breather cap at rear of tractor, on the left side of the PTO it pulls straight out. It has a dipstick on it. You should be able to add fluid there as well.
any hydraulic transmission oil such as Hy-tran Case IH or Hy-Gard John Deere
Ah, filling hydraulic fluid on a Case 1270 is a lovely process, my friend. You'll want to locate the hydraulic fluid reservoir, usually near the back of the tractor. Simply unscrew the cap, check the fluid level using the dipstick, and add more fluid if needed. Just remember to use the recommended type of hydraulic fluid for smooth operation. Happy painting!
The hydraulic reservoir on the case 730 should be in about the same area as the case 630......on the right side of the tractor at the rear of the engine and on what would be the bell housing is a large cap screw type plug. There should be a dipstick not too far from it....you add hydraulic oil there, if it is a case-o-matic. If it is a standard transmission, then the dipstick and the plug should be on the rear of the tractor around where the seat bolts on.
Well, friend, finding the hydraulic fluid cap on your Case 1190 tractor is like finding a happy little tree in a meadow. It's usually located near the back of the tractor, close to the hydraulic pump. Take a gentle stroll around the tractor and you'll spot it in no time. Just remember, there are no mistakes, only happy accidents in finding that cap.
There is a square head plug on the left side just in front of the clutch pedal. When you remove it there will be a dipstick attached to it.
if the foot pedal is operated with the tractor off, the hydraulic fluid can leak back out of the power steering pump. work the wheel back and forth for a minute or two to get fluid back into the steering box. also, check the hydraulic fluid level.AnswerThere is a brass connector between the hydraulic pump and the PS pump. This connector may have broken. or the end of shaft may have broken. This was the case with my L2250 DT
