I believe you are talking about a PCV valve. PCV means Positive Crankcase ventilation.
Take it to jasper they rebuild any motor.
A litre is a unit of capacity. A millimetre is a unit of distance. The two units are therefore incompatible.
The engine oil capacity for the 1992 2.3L is 5 quarts (includes filter).
The PCV is located on the driver's side of the engine. It is at the same level as the spark plugs, in the middle of the engine. It is not seated in the oil cover. It is seated in the oil diverter.

On my 1993 Ranger, 2.3L, it is a bolt between the two front wheels underneth the engine. Should be pretty easy to spot. The oil filter is on the drivers side of the engine, towards the bottom. Also easy to spot.
