∙ 15y agoYou can't legally drive a car in Indiana without auto insurance for any length of time. If by chance you mean how long can you drive a newly purchased vehicle before needing to notify the insurance company that was covering your old vehicle you'll need to read your policy. Policies will vary by company but many companies will give you up to 30 days to notify them of the change in vehicles.
Most policies will require you notify them within 30 days, this generally doesn't mean free coverage as they will date the change of your policy to the purchase date.
Assuming you stay with the same insurance company, the existing policy will remain in effect. However, you must notify the company of the change in vehicle make, model, year. If there is a difference in premium, your policy amount may be prorated for the month in which you purchased the car, then the new policy amount is required.

In the United States, If the vehicle is a replacement (trade-in) for the vehicle currently on your policy then it will generally be covered under the replacement rule so long as you follow the terms of your policy and notify the insurer within required number of days. If it is an additional acquired vehicle then generally it is not covered until you notify your insurer to add it to your policy.
If you already have insurance and trade in your car you have 10 days to notify your insurance company or your new car will not be covered.
If you want to stop paying taxes on that vehicle I would notify them very quickly. It is to your benefit.

It depends on the company and your age. They are not required to notify you of your policy lapsing. Contact them and ask them what you need to do to get it reinstated. If it has been too long, you may have to reapply.
If you currently own a vehicle and have insurance, your new vehicle is automatically covered as long as you let your insurance company know and pay within a stipulated time. If you do not currenty own a vehicle, you may want to get a regular policy and move the vehicle instead of doing it in two separate steps and paying extra for the policy for the move (maybe you have some special reason to do so, for example, your car is currently very far from your home).
The registered owner of the vehicle can, the driver of the vehicle (as long as they have no ownership interest) can not. Right ticket, wrong recipient.
Long term life insurance can be purchased from a variety of companies. Select Quote helps people decide which life insurance plan is right for them, and thus, is a good first site to look at.
