• First, you need to make sure that's the reason... those chains are run by a planetary, because the whole system is hydrastatic drive. You'll want to make sure that flow and pressure are equal on both sides. Of course, you want to do the easier task first, so yes, check the chains. Between the wheels, there should be an access plate which comes off and allows you to see inside the mechanism. There'll be a tensioner which you can adjust... typically two studs and a plate which moves up and down as you tighten and loosen the studs, and this adjusts tension on the drive chains (admittedly, I'm more familiar with Cat and Case products than with Bobcat, so there may be a little variance here, but if you can't look at it and figure out how it works, you have no business trying to wrench on equipment, anyhow).
