Whether a vehicle has air or hydraulic brakes has no impact on what kind of license is required to operate it in the US.
Yes
No. Air brakes are not a parameter in determining whether or not a vehicle needs a CDL.

well if you drive that's one of the reasons why your able to stop ( your brakes are hydraulic ).....same for that effortless steering its powered by hydraulic pump via the crank..and if you talking about the system used to adjust your suspension well that's just alot of fun......
A hydraulic drive system is a transmission system. This system uses hydraulic fluid that has been pressurized to make a machine work. Most of these systems utilize hydraulic cylinders.
It's about the same...but maintenance cost shouldn't be your primary consideration. You have two others: air brakes stop better than hydraulic ones do, and you need to take an air brakes test to drive a vehicle that has them.If you're going to be the only driver of this truck the air brake endorsement isn't a real issue, but if you're going to hire people to drive for you, you'll only be able to hire people with CDLs.
Speech on "licence to drive is not the licence to kill"

i think in the UK you can drive as long as you want with a international license. and can i drive in the UK with a Dutch license? i think in the UK you can drive as long as you want with a international license. and can i drive in the UK with a Dutch license?
A hydraulic or hydrostatic drive system or hydraulic power transmission is a drive or transmission system that uses hydraulic fluid under pressure to drive machinery. The term hydrostatic refers to the transfer of energy from flow and pressure, not from the kinetic energy of the flow. Such a system basically consists of three parts. The generator (e.g. a hydraulic pump, driven by an electric motor, a combustion engine or a windmill); valves, filters, piping etc. (to guide and control the system); the motor (e.g. a hydraulic motor or hydraulic cylinder) to drive the machinery.
