No vehicle with a commercial plate is allowed on any of New York State's parkways. This includes the Taconic and Saw Mill, to name a few. If your moving truck has a commercial plate, you will have to find another route.
are small uhaul trucks allowed on the Hutchinson river parkway NY
no
Providing there is no advertising signs or painting on the truck and it is not obviously a commercial-use vehicle (e.g.: ladder racks - glass racks - etc), yes.
Commercial trucks are not allowed to use the northern parts of the Parkway . All trucks must exit at exit 105, just past the Asbury Park Toll Plaza. From Tinton Falls to the southern end of the Parkway at Cape May, trucks are allowed, but must pay additional tolls.
Yes from the southern tip up to exit 105. No truck are allowed on the Garden State Parkway North of exit 105.
No commercial vehicles are allowed on the parkway. This includes box trucks, u-hauls, rental trucks, trailers or any vehicle with commercial plates. The parkways are winding roads that were designed with very low overpasses and are therefore unsuited for commercial traffic.
Yes - I did it last week in my pick-up!
Yes to an extent.... as stated by GSP rules Commercial trucks with a registered weight of over 7,000 pounds (3.18 tons) are not allowed to use the northern parts of the Parkway . All trucks must exit at Exit 105, just past the Asbury Park Toll Plaza. From Tinton Falls to the southern end of the Parkway at Cape May, trucks are allowed, but must pay additional tolls. Buses are allowed for the entire length of the Parkway.[12] The "truck" ban includes all vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (the vehicle's maximum fully-loaded weight including fuel, passengers and cargo) over 7000 pounds, which encompasses dozens of large passenger vehicles, such as the Chevy Suburban, which can weigh in at 8,500 pounds, though in practice police do not ticket such vehicles. From Asbury Park & South to the end any commercial vehicle can use this parkway...
Because that's how politicians and bureaucrats decided that's how it should be.
