At the moment, (December issue of Lala) no. They have not kissed. But, this should be a surprise for anyone. Since the title is, after all, Faster than THE Kiss. Here: Hello everyone!!! After much pondering on what "faster than a kiss" could possibly mean and what relevance it could possibly have to the manga, I finally realized that the answer lies is the cover itself. (attached) As you can see on the cover, it clearly says "キスよりも早く". First off, remember, they read right to left in Japanese, opposed to left to right in English. So, we start at the right. 早 is Kanji for "early"; however, when you add く(ku, Hiragana) it becomes an adverb, which is "fast". So, 早く is "fast" or for English translation purposes "faster". Next we have three Hiragana characters, よ,(yo) り, (I - pronounced - ee as in eat) and も.(mo) These translate to "than". So far we have "fast[er] than".(よりも早く) And the final two characters, キス, are Katakana (foreign words) and are キ "ki" (pronounced kee as in "keep") and ス "su" (pronounced sue as "super"). "ki-su" means "kiss". All together, we have "fast[er] than kiss". Remember, they don't use articles in Japanese. So, "the" or "a" would never be used in writing or speaking, which is why it isn't here. This right here shows that the person who translated it had no clue what the manga was about, nor did anyone check it. Think about it, does "faster than a kiss" have ANYTHING to do with the series? Nothing. What does (the other possibility) "faster than THE kiss" have to do with the series? TONS! The entire POINT is that their entire relationship builds (including getting married) BEFORE they kiss. Everything happens FASTER THAN THE KISS! Also explains the reason why it's taking so long! It's the entire point of the title! Thanks guys!! Comments and review. ;) I wrote this over on Fanpop.
