Boxer's don't hurt, but they can ride up, uncomfortably. Briefs can pinch when they ride up. But do not avoid underwear, especially when wearing zipper pants (or shorts)... the worst case scenario (and its happened to me as a kid) is your penis getting caught on the zipper. Now that's really painful (and embarrassing when ur grandma and uncle have to help you with it.)
Boxers have several benefits over briefs. One good one would be less restrictive. Boxers are more socially accepted if you are caught just wearing your underwear. It seems boxers come in more varities of colors and babric design than briefs.
Usually it's either tighties or boxers, but not both. You can try wearing both if you like, but that's a lot of cotton to stuff into your crotch and you might end up feeling more than just a tad uncomfortable. Try it at home first, while you sit in a straight-backed chair for a couple of hours, reading or doing homework, to see how it feels.
Men who have muscular builds look best in well-fitting briefs, trunks, or boxer briefs. Men who are slim/skinny without much muscle definition look best in traditional boxers. Men who have a bit more weight on them look best in boxer briefs or boxers.
Boxer briefs offer the support of briefs with the comfort and coverage of boxers. Most men look good in just their boxer briefs, too, whereas a lot of men don't look good in just briefs or plain boxers.

Although boxer briefs have gained in popularity, especially among today's younger generation, I believe briefs are still the popular choice of underwear for men. What we often see is those who preferred boxers or boxers briefs while in school, often switch back to briefs as they mature, no longer feeling that they must conform to peer pressure. However, I salute and respect those young people who dismiss peer pressure by choosing to wear what they prefer (briefs) regardless of what their peers think.
boxers
it can depend. if you like it tight around your penis, you might want briefs, or bikini briefs, don't worry they aren't as tight as you might think, i wear briefs and bikini briefs there great. if you prefer losse underwear try theese. boxers, no tightness at all, i switched from boxers to briefs. boxer- briefs, a little tight, but not as much as briefs, they are long like boxers. pouch briefs, they give you more soupport in that area, they are used if your "package" is large and needs more room. right now i like to wear under armour. it is tight all around you, about the same size as boxers. it holds everything in place and is made with soft fabric useully used in sports, they are expensive, i bought mine 25.00 for a pair. i havent really worn thongs, but i guss they are more for looks, they hold everything in place. hope this helps! just choose and see if you like, i thought i would hate the briefs bikini but my friends told me they were great, i tried them and i loved them!
boxers are much more attractive, but it really depends on what ur doing
Dad should get more briefs. Depending on how old your son is, talk to him and see why he is so indecisive.
I prefer boxers over briefs because I am not athletic so I don't need nearly the support of briefs. They are a lot more comfortable, and come in more designs and option than briefs.
Definitely boxers. It depends. They are both night and day apart. With briefs, they are designed to support whereas boxers are designed for a more natural state (no support). Then, there are boxer briefs, which, depending on the manufacturer, can either be really a brief with a longer leg (like a boxer), or a brief that has the fit of a boxer that still looks like a brief (with a longer leg like a boxer). Complicated, isn't it? Which is better is just a matter of preference. Try all three and see which is more comfortable overall as each style has their good and bad points.
