If It is the factory res, then it should be screw off.
on one side of the grips there should be a screw. take the screw out nad the grips will come off

Shut off the main water or on the control, there should be a large plate or washer with a screw slot in it. This should just be a cover plate with another screw under it that I believe should regulate the length of the flush and shut it off if screwed in all the way. It's been a while and things may have changed.

Take top cover off of jack and there should be a rubber plug or a single screw that you take out to fill jack .
Through the hole that the door handle comes through you can feel a screw. Remove the screw and the handle should come off.

You broke the stop in the cartridge. The only thing to do now is drill out the head of the screw. If you use the right size, you should be able to drill out the head and get the handle off. There should be enough of the screw left that you can remove it with pliers, but you will probably be replacing the cartridge. They are not terribly expensive. The most expensive is around $30. Drill bit size is probably 3/16 or 1/4 if you are careful.
Look for the valve cover. There should be a stopper or plastic screw off thing.
Undo the Allen screw in the center and it should come right off.
