Just like any other Professional Wrestling organization on television, TNA is predetermined for television purposes. The moves that the wrestlers perform are predetermined, that doesn't mean they don't take a beating. Speaking from having in-ring experience, I can tell you first hand that unless you are one of those people who have never been in the ring before, you'll really will never know what it is like.
I trained under an independent company, which quite frankly, "Indy Companies" take the aspect of the actual sport seriously. As to where you see the "Big Time" companies such as, the WWE, most of the time have to be choreographed due to television time. I watch ROH Wrestling myself, for one, they actually take the sport more seriously than the TNA or the WWE because those two companies have mostly forgotten about the sport aspect.
I guess it depends on your term for "fake"
Pro Wrestling as a sport is not real. The situations are not real, the characters are not real, and the outcomes of the matches are all planned. The close finishes, the run ins and every pin is not real. It is all a carefully coordinated act to entertain the audience.
That being said. If you mean fake, as in no physical exertion or reality? That statement is false. The ability to be a pro-wrestler is one that requires the performer to be physically fit enough to constantly perform, dips, tumbles, jumps, holds, and running for a period of 1 hour or more. Not to mention that you also have to "sell" your moves and make them real enough to entertain a crowd of 20,000+ screaming fans. In addition to being an athlete a pro-wrestler also has to be an effective actor and make sure to put on an act, come up with a saying, or develop an attitude that is believable enough to bring fame. That's not all. There is no off-season in pro-wrestling. No cushy 3 or 4 months to get your swing back, or your skills back. A pro-wrestler is expected to perfom 280+ days a year while also travelling back and forth across the country with several hours of practice, performances, and rehearsels required in between this. It is very tough to take any amount of time off since it may hurt your status, or some other wrestler may come in and take your place. WWE is not fake in this sense. The throws are real, the bumps are real, the physical toll is real, every smash of the chair, every jump off the top part of the cage, and every leap off a ladder into a crowd is real. Sometimes mistakes are made and people are seriously injured or even killed.
So to the question. Is WWE fake? In the sense of the outcomes, characters, and situations of matches, Yes. In the sense of the physical and mental toll, no.
Hope that helps. Source: www.wwe.com
yeah . . . its fake
it is fake
The hits are real but thier planned out
Of course, it is real wwe is fake but in tna and ufc people actually bleed and go to the hospital wwe is all staged they just hire actors for security and referee's and doctors when a superstar visits the hospital. Nobody could survive getting batista bombed onto the steel steps you would at least be in a coma if you dont believe me get thrown onto a piece of steel from 6ft up and email me if you survive.
hey listin buddy i am a huge TNA fan i agree with you on wwe being fake but i got to admit some of TNA is fake couse when ever some one so called gets hit on the steps
they always place there hand and make it look like it hit them
Hate to break it to you but TNA is just like WWE it is scripted.
WWE/TNA is considered sports "entertainment" or professional wrestling. The company includes scripted storylines, segments and pre-determined matches. The wrestling is for the most part fake, but they make it look real as much as possible. However that doesn't mean the wrestlers don't get hurt, injured or bloodied by mistake. Tna will always be fake. It does look real though.
No tna is fake UFC is real
TNA wrestling can be real but its practically fake. Same with WWE.
Wwe,tna etc. is fake. amateur I.e. college, high school, olympic is "real"
real wrestling is WWE which can hurt alot but some is fake and TNA is almost entirely fake which is not as sore a real wrestling
Well obviously all wrestling companies are fake. People like it for the entertainment.
wwe is fake and tna is maybe too
because wwes fake, sos tna but its not as fake
World Wrestling Entertainment and Total non-stop action are both fake.
all wrestling is fake now a days
NoTotal NonstActionop (TNA) is not real along with World Wrestling Entertainment ( WWE) or any professional wrestling. They use fake blood and they also don't hit each other they stop by 1" and they actually get along.
Well some TNA Wrestlers maybe dead but TNA IS Fake so there wont be that much
On one side is says: Wrestling is Real On the other side it says: People are Fake
