Anyway in shippuden, Sasuke gets his revenge, but later he saddens when he was mistaken about Itachi. so Sasuke wants his revenge for Itachi instead, so he plans to destroy Konoha. He battles the kazekage in Konoha, then is saved by Madara so it is impossible for him to be a formal ninja. He is a wanted, criminal, and rouge ninja who is sought to be killed by most people, sadly.
Naruto doesn't bring Sasuke back, but Sasuke comes back of his own free will to destory Konoha.
