DU is a job training location for cast members located at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida, Disneyland's Team Disney Anaheim, and Burbank's Team Disney Headquarters.
Other training that takes place at Disney University includes location-specific training (Food and Beverage, Front Desk, Merchandise, Guest Relations, etc.), many training updates, and the 'Foundations' series of classes for salaried leaders.
All new Cast Members attend 'Traditions' on their first day of work; this class imparts the importance of the Disney history, legacy and brand through several promotional videos, group workshop exercises, and prize winning opportunities. The entire building is set up with two floors of class rooms where job practices are taught and Cast Members can practice on cash registers, ticketing machines, and ticket turnstiles.
