That would be incorrect, in my opinion because: Because even when the planet was previously known as Vulcania, the inhabitants were called Vulcanians, not Vulcans. However, this could be correct because: Some planets are given names before humans/explorers even check to see if the planet has inhabitants that have already given it a name. Therefore Spock could be from a planet with various names that are not pronounced Vulcan and yet his species could still be Vulcan.
