∙ 13y agoYou are asking about a 50 Senti coin from Tanzania (KM#3). The coin is made of Copper-Nickel, weighs 4.00 grams and measures 21mm in diameter. On the obverse (front) is an image of the head of President Julius K. Nyerere, facing left, with "TANZANIA 1983" above and "RAIS WA KWANZA" (Swahili for "The First President") below. On the reverse (back) is an image of a rabbit, facing left, with "50" below and "SENTI HAMSINI" (Swahili for "Fifty Cents") above. It appears that 10,000,000 such coins were produced in 1983, although that is not definite.
According to the Standard Catalog of World Coins, an example is valued at US$0.25 in Very Fine condition, US$0.50 in Extremely Fine condition, US$2.00 in Uncirculated condition, and US$2.50 in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
