Except for the year and the unusual spelling of Edward, you are describing a sterling silver Crown (Five Shilling) coin. The man on the horse is possibly St. George in the act of slaying a dragon.

The only Edward VII Crowns to be minted were dated 1902, the year of his Coronation.

The coin/token/medallion is most likely a souvenir from the 1908 London Summer Olympic Games which were opened by King Edward VII. They were produced in quantity and possibly have very little value.
