You really need to get it appraised by an expert. Value will vary dependent on condition, whether or not all parts are matched or not, original finish or refinish, whether or not it's been sporterised, what accessories come with it, etc.
As far as I know, the Chilean Mausers were all 7x57. To be 100% certain (and to make certain the chamber wasn't reamed out to fire some other cartridge), take it to a gunsmith have have them take precise chamber and bore measurements.
The '95 Chilean Mauser is chambered for 7mm Mauser. There may be surplus military ammunition still floating around from Cheaper Than Dirt or other sources and the round is still loaded commercially.
The Mauser was originally 7 x 57, however some were re chambered to 7.62 x 51 Nato after the war. The commercial ammo is .308 Win.
Don't really understand exactly what you're trying to ask. I believe the Chilean Mausers have their year of manufacture etched onto the top of the chamber.
$50-$450, depending on condition. Value of any gun is driven by exact make and model, condition and originality. You will need a hands on appraisal- sorry-
There is a model 1895.
It means they began making that MODEL of Mauser in 1895. You will need to have someone that knows older Mauser makes a hands on assessment of your rifle. Value depends on make, model, condition- and with military riles, originality- modifications lose value.
Very carefully. Consult a professional for the best results.
