Improvement:
There are many different "standard" pallets on the market. In the United States of America, by far the most popular pallets you will see will be the Grocery manufacturers' Association (GMA) 48" x 40" pallet. This pallet is used mainly in the grocery industry, as well as many big box retailers. The discount retailer Costco also has their own specific standard pallet that must be used on their products. Below is a list of the global "standard" pallets.

Australian Standard Pallet
1165mm x 1165mm - The Australian Standard Pallet is a pallet size commonly found in Australia but found rarely elsewhere. It is a square hardwood pallet which fits perfectly in the RACE container of the Australian Railway, but is ill suited to fitting in the standard ISO containers used around the globe.
NAICS 321920 applies to Wood Container and Pallet Manufacturing.
Good manufacturing practice limits pallet pile heights to 6 feet.
Like a paint pallet that artists use to paint with and its wood!
It depends on the company you are ordering from. I am unsure what the average is. Most likely take the square feet that would fit on the pallet laying flat and then multiply it by the height.
The height of a pallet is such that a pallet truck or forklift truck can put their blades underneath and lift the pallet. From memory it could be between 6" to 9" high measuring from the ground.
A wood pallet typically weighs between 30-50 pounds, depending on its size and design.
wood
A paint pallet is a peice of wood or paper that has a various amout of paint colors on it.
I wouldn't recommend it. A wood pallet it often made of cheap, untreated wood. It would be safer to build a deck using stronger, higher-quality lumber.
Depends on what kind. Chep pallets weigh 45 pounds and chep charges you for each pallet. Other wood pallets weigh between 10 and 20 pounds
