A type of indicator of the temper (grade) of the bolt. I think 3 lines = grade 8.
other bolts use different indicators, too. on japenese bolts, sometimes a dot is used so they can count revolutions to reach desired torque of bolt without using torque wrench.
hope that helps ya.

∙ 14y agoA grade 5 hex bolt has 3 radial lines formed into the top of the head. Bolt manufacturers can provide listings of bolt markings and their corresponding strength ratings.
Multiply top lines together and same for lower lines so 3/4 times 1/2 means top lines of each are 3 and 1 so 3x1 = 3 and lower lines are 4 and 2 so 4x2 = 8 then 3/4 x 1/2 = 3/8
if you want to do a s you 3 lines on the top and bottomthen you join the lines together

I'm assuming you mean the bolt pattern for the wheels?? 5 on 4 3/4.
Move 3 lines "from" - do you mean 'remove 3 lines from' - or - move 3 lines to other places? Anyway, this all depends on the layout of the five squares.
Concurrent lines or line segments occur when 3 or more lines meet at the same point
If it is a Manual 5spd. Then their is a fill bolt and a drain bolt. The drain bolt can be only taken off with an 3/8" socket wrench. And the top fill bolt which is all next to the passenger side axle. The bolt should be a 17mm.
disconnect battery then pull off pass tire to access alternator preferably with jack stands alternator has upper bolt and lower bolt loosen lower bolt and bracket that contains 3 bolts. on top of alternator is upper bracket that holds alternator in place the tensioner is facing firewall loosen tensioner all the way out then finally loosen top alternator bolt [ the tensioner bolt actually goes through top bolt which is not visible until you take it out} disconnect alternator
