You could probably send them back to the company who produced whatever the bottle contained but they would most likely think you were mad and throw the caps away all the same. They would not re-use them, as it would cost money to have them shipped somewhere to be cleaned. Neither would they waste money by shipping them to a reprocessing plant (unless you sent them in by the truckload!) You could send them to a reprocessing plant yourself, but again, they would probably think you were mad. One way or another the caps will end up in someones dustbin or skip and be destined for a landfill or incinerator somewhere. Better to cut out the middle man and make the bin they end up in your own. At least you wont have wasted your money on postage & handling!
