Depending on how old it is you may not be able to. Look on the bottom of the vase and see if there is a hallmark. The hallmark will tell you who made it and you can get that info from a collectors book that lists hallmarks. If there is no hallmark the style of the vase can tell you a bit and how it is made will also tell you. Look to see if there is a seam on the sides. If there is it is most likely a casting which means it could have been made on an assembly line or in mass production. That could still put it in the early 1900's. Are you sure it is bronze? This too can tell you a lot about the maker and time frame it was made. There are collector books on vases so you can also go to one of these and flip through the pages to see if your vase looks like any in the book. Finally, take it to an antique store to see what they say. If they seem very anxious to have it don't sell because they may not be telling you the truth worth.
