Water is not on the Periodic Table of elements because elements cannot be broken down into different substences and water can; it is two part Hydrogen one part Oxegen, thus you get H2O or water.

Water, which is a compound composed of hydrogen and oxygen (H2O), does not appear on the periodic table because the periodic table only lists elements. Elements are pure substances made up of atoms with the same number of protons in their nucleus. Water, being a compound, is made up of different elements combined together in a specific ratio.

Water is not an element.

Water is the combination of the elements Hydrogen and Oxygen, hence the term "H2O".

H2O is the chemical symbol for water, which simply mean 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom.

Because it is not an element - it is a compound of oxygen and hydrogen (H2O)- both of which are on the periodic table - so, in effect, water is (just in its constituant parts).

Why cant you find H2O in your periodic table?

H2O, which is water, is a compound composed of hydrogen and oxygen. Elements are found in the periodic table, not compounds. Hydrogen and oxygen, the elements that make up water, are present in the periodic table, but the compound H2O is not listed because the periodic table displays elements and their properties.

Why is never or you can never find water on the periodic table?

Oh jeez. Alright, water is a compound, not an element. The things that water is made of are on the periodic table, and that is hydrogen and oxygen. But since it is more than one element it is a compound. That is like asking why isn't dog on the periodic table.

What is the symbol of the periodic table?

Water is not on the Periodic Table because the Periodic Table is a list of the elements on our earth. Water is made up of 2 Hydrogen atoms and one Oxygen atom. So that means it is not a single element, but makes Water a molecule. Hope that's helped.
