The elements are arranged such that properties are periodic in the table. Elements in same group have same valence electrons.Hence, they possess similar properties.

The elements in the same group have an equal number of valence electrons. These electrons are responsible for the chemical reactions of elements. So elements in the same group as similar chemical properties.

Elements in the same group have similar properties because they have the same number of valence electrons. Valence electrons determine an element's chemical behavior, so elements with the same number of valence electrons will exhibit similar reactivity and chemical properties. This is due to their similar electron configurations and tendencies to gain, lose, or share electrons in chemical reactions.

Elements in the same group have similar properties because they have the same number of valence electrons, resulting in similar chemical reactivity. This similarity arises from their electron configurations and allows them to exhibit comparable physical and chemical characteristics, such as reactivity and bonding behaviors.

because the electron configuration is very similar. say you have lithium and sodium. lithium ends in 2s1 and sodium ends in 3s1. the energy level changes but the electrons in the orbital stay the same throughout all columns

They have similar properties because they all have the same number of electrons in their outer energy shell.

The Classical example is Group 1

Li, Na, K, Rb, etc., they all have one electron in their out energy shell.

So they all react vigorously with water, forming an alkali MOH .

They are all metals. They all decreasing metalling points.

The lowest in the group is Francium (Fr) which is not found in an open lab. because #1 it reacts with water explosively, and #2 it is radio-active.

Do elements in the same group or period have similar properties?

Elements in the same group have similar properties because they have the same number of valence electrons. In contrast, elements in the same period do not necessarily have similar properties, as their chemical behavior is determined by the number of electron shells they have.

Are elements with similar chemical properties found in the same group om the periodic table?

Yes, elements with similar chemical properties are often found in the same group on the periodic table. This is because elements within the same group have the same number of valence electrons, leading to similar reactivity and chemical properties.

Do elements in the same group have similar atomic numbers?

Elements in the same group have similar chemical properties but not necessarily similar atomic numbers. Elements in the same group have the same number of valence electrons, which determines their reactivity and chemical properties.

The properties of elements in a in the periodic table are often similar?

Elements in the same group have similar properties because they have the same number of valence electrons. This influences their chemical behavior and reactivity. Elements in the same period have similar atomic size but vary in other properties due to the changing number of electron shells.

Do the elements in a group of priodic table have the similar chemical and physical properties?

Yes, elements in the same group of the periodic table have similar chemical properties as they have the same number of valence electrons. This leads to similar reactivity and bonding characteristics. However, their physical properties may vary depending on factors such as atomic size and mass.

Elements in the same group have same number of valence electrons and hence have similar chemical and physical properties.

Which elements have similar properties on the periodic table?

Elements in the same group or column on the periodic table have similar properties. This is because they have the same number of valence electrons, which determines their chemical behavior. For example, all elements in Group 1 (such as lithium, sodium, potassium) share similar properties due to having one valence electron.

Do any of the elements on the periodic table of elements have similar properties?

Elements in the same group have similar properties. The groups are made according to the properties of elements. Elements in a group have an equal number of valence electrons.
