∙ 15y agoThe free energy (delta G) is the measure of the amount of energy produced or consumed in a reaction. Enthalpy (delta H) is a measure of the amount of heat produced or consumed in a reaction. These two quantities can sometimes be the same. When they are not, the other missing component where heat can be consumed or produced is work.

∙ 15y agoThe measurement used to describe how much energy is produced or used during a chemical change is called "enthalpy." It represents the heat exchange that occurs during a reaction and is typically denoted as ΔH. The enthalpy change can be positive (endothermic, absorbs heat) or negative (exothermic, releases heat) depending on the reaction.
Heating KClO3 and MnO2 to form KCl and MnO2 is a chemical change as new substances are being produced.
The four clues to a chemical reaction are: formation of a gas, formation of a precipitate, change in color, and release or absorption of energy (heat or light).
If light is produced when two substances are mixed, it is most likely a chemical change. Chemical changes involve the formation of new substances with different properties, whereas physical changes typically only affect the state or appearance of a substance without altering its chemical composition.
During a phase change, the substance transitions between different states of matter (solid, liquid, gas) without any change in the chemical composition of the particles involved. This means that there is no new substance formed and no chemical change taking place, it is solely a physical change.
This is a chemical property, as it involves a chemical reaction where hydrogen gas is produced when the substance reacts with an acid. Physical properties refer to characteristics such as color, state, density, and boiling point.
Chemical Change.
chemical change
A gas released during a chemical reaction is a chemical change.

The reaction of the wood burning is Oxidation as wood combines with air, the type of change that is occurring is a chemical change.

Using for the measurement a calorimeter.
A chemical equation can be used to describe a chemical change. For instance when iron combines with oxygen to form iron (III) oxide (rust), a chemical change has occurred. It can be written as a chemical formula: 4 Fe + 3 O2 --> 2 Fe2O3
This is a chemical change because the acids produced by bacteria in plaque are reacting with the minerals in the teeth, breaking them down and causing decay.
That's a chemical change because the structure of the atoms are changing. Chemical features can only be viewed through chemical change, by the way.
