I'm pretty sure that the bicarbonate ion, HCO3 has a negative one charge. assuming that you are looking for HCO3- the structure is a carbon double bonded to a oxygen and single bonded to two oxygens, one of which has the hydrogen attached.

the structure is hard to draw with simple text, but would look more or less like

O

l

[O=C-O-H]- {and of course each oxygen has the necessary electrons around it}

The Lewis dot structure of HCO3-2 (bicarbonate ion) consists of one carbon atom with a double bond to one oxygen atom, a single bond to another oxygen atom, and a single bond to a hydrogen atom. There is also a negative charge on the structure, indicating the presence of an extra electron.

The bond structure of formic acid starts with the C atom in the center with one double bonded O, a singly bonded H and a single bond O. Both O atoms have two pair of dots, and the single bonded O has another single bond attached to an H atom.

Are you sure you're not talking about HCO3? HCO2 would be very unstable
