leather in the cold does not get hard. when you leave it in the cold for about 30 minutes, it becomes really cold. leather in the sun is still bendable in 30 min. it becomes hot, but not really hot. OK leather in water becomes really floppy and soft. oh yeah it is also really wet after 30 minutes in the water THIS QUESTION IS GOOD FOR SCIENCE STUFF!!!!!!!

In cold temperatures, leather can become stiff and brittle, making it more prone to cracking. When exposed to heat, leather can shrink, warp, or lose its shape due to moisture loss. Water can cause leather to become discolored, stained, or warped if not properly dried and treated.

What happens if you mix hot water with cold water?

When hot water is mixed with cold water, the overall temperature of the mixture will be between the initial temperatures of the hot and cold water. The hot water will transfer heat to the cold water, resulting in a gradual temperature equilibrium.

What happens when hot water is poured into a cup of cold water?

When hot water is poured into cold water, the hot water will transfer its heat energy to the cold water, causing the overall temperature of the mixture to increase. Eventually, the hot and cold water will reach a thermal equilibrium where they have the same temperature throughout the mixture.

What happens when copper sulfate dissolves in cold water?

When copper sulfate dissolves in cold water, it forms a blue solution due to the formation of hydrated copper ions. The solubility of copper sulfate is slightly lower in cold water compared to hot water. The dissolution process is endothermic, meaning it absorbs heat from its surroundings.

What is the method of heat transfer when you mix hot water with cold water?

The method of heat transfer when you mix hot water with cold water is conduction. Heat energy moves from the hotter water to the colder water until they reach thermal equilibrium, resulting in a final temperature that is a combination of the initial temperatures of both waters.

Why hot water become cold?

Hot water loses its heat energy to its surroundings through a process called heat transfer. This can happen via conduction, convection, and radiation. As the hot water releases heat, its temperature decreases until it reaches the same temperature as its surroundings, making it feel cold.

It becomes cold.

What happens when ice is added to water?

its gets cold Actually the ice gets warmer. Its the water that gets cold.

What happens when you use cold water for tea?

Unless you bought 'cold brew' tea, then you have to heat it. You can make 'sun tea and leave it out in direct sun in cold water, and let the sun heat the water and make the tea, without heat, tea in cold water will make very mildly tea flavored water.

Which holds more heat fleece or soft leather?

Fleece does, definitely. it is somewhat thicker, and leather can get cold if not properly insulated.

radiation

What is transferred when you dip your finger into cold water?

When you dip your finger into cold water, heat is transferred from your finger to the water. This transfer of heat causes your finger to feel cold.

What is a convection loop?

basically the scientific fact that heat rises and cold temperatures sink. A convection loop happens in air and water.

What happens when you leave the mixtue of hot and cold water in a room for 24 hours?

The hot water will slowly lose heat to the room, causing it to cool down. Conversely, the cold water will absorb heat from the room, causing it to warm up. Eventually, both containers will reach room temperature.

What type of heat transfer occurs when hot water flows through cold water?

Convection is the type of heat transfer that occurs when hot water flows through cold water. As the hot water moves through the cold water, it transfers heat energy to the surrounding cold water, causing it to warm up. This results in a transfer of heat through the movement of the fluids.

Why does heat dissolve in water?

Hot water merges with the cold water, and any heat is dissipated.
