This is hard to answer as there is no specific answer on this in any literature i stumbled across. I'd say it has 3 bonds. I sigma and IIpi bonding orbitals. The energy diagrams say so. I have the same dilema as i promised my organic chemstry prof. i'd do a detailed model of a O2 molecule.
My answer? ... 3 bonding orbits.

How many bonds are there in alcohol?

In an alcohol molecule, there are usually two types of chemical bonds - covalent bonds between carbon and oxygen, and hydrogen bonds between hydrogen and oxygen atoms. Each carbon atom forms a single covalent bond with the oxygen atom, while the hydrogen atoms form single covalent bonds with the oxygen atom.

How many single and double covalent bonds does a carbon atom have in a carbon dioxide molecule?

In a carbon dioxide molecule, each carbon atom forms two double covalent bonds with the two oxygen atoms. So, each carbon atom has two double covalent bonds in the carbon dioxide molecule.
