The numbers 2 and 3 refer to the NLGI grade of lithium grease, which indicates the consistency of the grease. NLGI 2 grease is more common, with a medium consistency suitable for general-purpose applications, while NLGI 3 grease is thicker and more viscous, often used in applications where higher viscosity is required for better sealing and protection.
The 4 compounds that make up base grease are mineral oil, lithium soap, calcium soap, and aluminum complex. These compounds work together to provide lubrication and enhance the grease's performance.
It is recommended to avoid mixing different types of greases as it can result in performance issues or grease thickening. It is best to flush the old grease completely before adding a new type to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
Unirex N3 grease is manufactured by ExxonMobil. It is a high-performance, lithium complex grease designed for a variety of industrial applications, including heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
Lithium can be currently found in various locations around the world, with significant reserves in countries such as Australia, Chile, and Argentina. It is typically extracted from lithium-rich brine deposits or mineral ores such as spodumene and lepidolite.
I spray the working parts with Lithium grease once in awhile .
I lube mine occasionally with a white lithium spray grease. That works well as it penetrates inside .
Lithium is a metal, lithium grease is a a grease having lithium compounds (derivatives af fatty acids).
Lubricate the door hinges & door stop with a good spray white lithium grease.

Use White Lithium Grease from a spray can. Available at all auto parts stores.
I prefer to use a spray on white lithium. It last longer. However some use 3in1 because of the broad usages. I agree, White Lithium Grease is what I use.
batteries, grease and some medicines
lithium grease or bearing grease
Molybdenum or Lithium.
Not all types of lithium greases have the same density. For the grease EP-2 an US gallon the mass is 3,293 g.
there is a joint needs greased ,either up under dash or under hood on steering shaft doesnt have grease fitting, just rub onto ,or use white lithium grease or spray may have to repeat til it penetrates
