Methylated spirits, also known as denatured alcohol, can be used as a cleaning agent for certain surfaces. It is effective in removing grease, dirt, and some stains. However, it is important to use it in a well-ventilated area and to test it on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it does not damage the surface.
