How does a steam engine change chemical energy to heat energy?

A steam engine uses a hydrocarbon based fuel source. The combustion of the fuel releases the chemical energy in the bonds in the form of thermal energy.

What is true about an electrolytic cell?

A.Oxidation occurs at the anode.B.Reduction occurs at the cathode.C.Electrical energy is converted to chemical energy. The negative terminal of the voltage source is attached to the cathode.

What are the disadvantages of using water as a hydrogen fuel source?

It takes more energy to separate the hydrogen than we can get at the end.

Must the flow of compressible fluid necessarily be treated as compressible?

No, for gases if the difference in pressure results in a density change of less than approximately thirty percent (30%), the fluid may be treated as incompressible by assuming the density to be the average density which remains constant. Why you use saturated steam in steam tracing?

If you use saturated steam, the main source of the heat is provided by the condensation of the steam at a constant temperature. The energy provided by the condensing steam is significantly more than what you can get from just changing the temperature of superheated steam. When the temperature remains constant, design calculations are also a lot easier; the temperatures stay the same (or almost the same) for the steam along the entire run and the pressure stays the same (or almost the same).

What is an energy resource?

A new renewable or inexhaustible energy source

Is wind renewable nonrenewable or inexhaustible?

Well we all know is not nonrenewable but all i think it's renewable or inexhaustible i think both.

Is a wind mill nonrenewable energy?

Wind turbines produce renewable energy. Energy is considered renewable when it is created by a source that is inexhaustible.

Is Tidal energy renewable nonrenewable or inexhaustible?

Tidal energy is considered a renewable energy source because it relies on the predictable movement of tides, which are driven by the gravitational forces of the moon and sun. As long as the Earth has oceans and tides, tidal energy can be harnessed continuously.

Why is electrical energy inexhaustible and renewable?

Electrical energy is a PRODUCED energy, not a SOURCE energy. It is produced by other things- burning oil, gas or coal, or uranium uses non-renewable energy.

Is geothermal a renewable nonrenewable or inexhaustible source?

Geothermal is considered a renewable resource as it uses water and the earth's heat. Both of these are inexhaustible. However, if the water near the plant is exhausted (no more water in that area, but there is no less water than before), then the plant must be moved. It is still generally considered a renewable source of energy.

Is geothermal renewable or nonrenewable?

Geothermal energy is considered a renewable energy source because it harnesses heat from the Earth's core, which is continuously generated by radioactive decay and is virtually inexhaustible on human timescales.

Is electrical energy renewable or non renewable?

The most popular renewable energy sources currently are: Solar energy. Wind energy. Hydro energy. Tidal energy. Geothermal energy. Biomass energy.

Why is geothermal energy considered a renewable energy source?

Geothermal energy is considered renewable because it harnesses heat from the Earth's core, which is continuously generated through radioactive decay. This heat source is essentially inexhaustible on human timescales, making geothermal energy a sustainable and renewable resource.

Are fossil fuels renewable non renewable or inexhaustible?

Fossil fuels are non-renewable. Once we've burnt them, they're gone!

Is chemical energy nonrenewable?

Chemical energy is both renewable and non-renewable in different situations. When burning fossile fuel, it is non-renewable. But it is renewable with flowers as long as their source remains available. So if the chemical the energy is being produced from is renewable, then the chemical energy will be too.
