im thinking its 2*pi[as in the constant 3.14...]*radius*length im guessing this gives are of a cylinder
The stroke length of a pump is the distance it travels up before it travels down. The distance traveling up takes in air or water depending on the type of pump. The down pressure expels the air or water.
The Graetz number is {(Diameter/Length)*Reynolds#*Prandtl#}^(1/3) It is used to characterize the thermal development of pipe flow: if the Graetz number is less than 1000, the thermal profile is fully developed.
Advantages: Simplicity of design; Easy to clean and maintain; ideal for fluids that cause fouling. Disadvantages: Length cannot be extended beyond a limit Rate of heat transfer is low + high cost when considering amt of heat transfer. Heat looses occur from the outer shell.
Condensing boilers do work very well and are quite efficient. They will take several years to recoup their price, however. If it is only for savings, you should consider the length of time involved.
The answer depends on a quarter of WHAT!
About an inch
The quarter is a unit of mass and the meter is a unit of length !
The diameter is 24.26 mm (0.955 inches) Note that a quarter is circular so it doesn't actually have a length, which describes linear distance.
