Yes Olympus cameras only ever use xD memory cards to date. Fujifilm is another brand that has used xD for a long time, but now they are making all of their cameras both xD and SD compatible. I expect that Olympus will eventually do the same. My credentials to answer this question come from the fact that I have been a professional photographer for the past four years and now I also work in the camera department in Best Buy.
If you want to use a different lens on your Olympus camera you will have to use something to mount it with. You will not get the same results from different lenses.
memory sticks
I use alkaline batteries in my Olympus 2009 camera.

35mm film is not used by many cameras nowadays, though there is a small variety of cameras that still use this type of film. These cameras include the Olympus Styles Epic in the low budget class and the Canon Rebel G2 in the high budget class. Both Nikon and Canon sell other 35mm cameras.
Sony uses memory sticks, but its not the kind your thinking of, which are better suited for laptops and desktop computers.
A memory card. Most computers have a 'media slot' which will accept many of the popular memory cards. Digital cameras use removable memory cards to store images on, which can be simply inserted into a computer's media slot, and gthe images transferred for editing or archiving.
"Yes, they do. They have a wide variety of Kodak Easyshare cameras, from kits including the camera as well as other accessories (such as a memory card, a case, a tripod, etc.) to professional use cameras to basic digital cameras perfect for casual use."
The only thing the DSi can use the SD card is for storing pictures taken by the cameras, and to play music from. Some applications like Flipnote can also save things to the memory card. However the memory card cannot be used in any other way, especially not as a form of virtual memory for the browser.
