Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. It may be argued the unusual song ( Green Fields) by the New Christy Minstrels- which starts out as a description of what seems to be an ecological disaster area- a drought perhaps, - is actually about the dried up fields of the singer"s love affair- and there is hope in the end of the son! an unusual ecological twist in a popular song.
endosulfan
Dieldren is an extremely poisonous pesticide that is banned for the U.S.
it is banned because it talks of cloning and that is bad! it is banned because it talks of cloning and that is bad!
Because it is a dodgy book.
DDT
I've read this book and most people believe it was banned because of language issues & because supposedly it is a " mature " book .Hope this helped .
The school was named after scientist Rachel Carson because she is the author of Silent Spring, which inspired people to name the school after her. Her book warned the world about the dangers of the pesticide DDT and ultimately had the poison banned.
Im not sure because I think it depends on the district but its not banned at my school
No. DDT was a pesticide used to kill insects on crops. It has been banned because it caused tremendous problems for humans who ate the crops.
No pesticide should not be banned. Do you want bugs to be crawling all over you house, food, children, or family?
DDT, the pesticide was ultimately banned as a result of Rachel Carson"s environmental shocker. It may be argued the once-popular ( trick) song Green Fields- which starts out as a low intensity description of what seems to be a drought or an environmental disaster ( like the silent spring) , but as the song develops, the parched out green fields are a metaphor for lost love- and the song does end hopefully! a cool song with an environmental side lobe.
The use of the pesticide DDT concerns Canadians because it is quite poisonous. The chemical can have many detrimental effects on humans and animals.
