Medieval plate armor breastplates were worn by royalty, military commanders and high ranking knights. They were made by cutting plates of iron into an appropriate shape. These were then heated and hammered into the breastplate shape. It would be specifically made to the size of the customer who would require several fittings during the construction process.

During the Renaissance, armor was typically made by skilled craftsmen known as armorers. They would create armor by shaping pieces of metal like steel or iron through a combination of forging, welding, and hammering. The final pieces were often decorated with intricate designs and engravings to showcase the wearer's wealth and status.

What were the ancient Greek swords made out of?

During the bronze age, they were made of bronze. During the irong age, swords tended to be made of iron and armor often continued to be made of bronze, if the people using armor could afford bronze. Bronze is stronger than iron and less prone to corrosion, so it makes better armor, but iron is cheaper, and since can be made much harder than bronze it is preferable for blades.
