There has been Four ships with the name Santa Anna.
The first built and launched for the Knights Hospitallers in Nice in 1522. This ship was one of the first to have it's hull clad in lead plating. Designed to carry 500 marines, it featured large messes and separate rooms for Officers. It carried an on-board forge where 3 smiths could do maintenance while at sea. Also it carried several ovens and a windmill, so that fresh bread could be provided daily, and a garden on the stern. The ship was decommissioned in 1540.
The second ship with the name Santa Anna was a Spanish Treasure Galleon. I cannot discover where and when she was built and launched. In November 1587 Thomas Cavendish captured the galleon in the Harbour at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. he looted the treasure, which included 122,000 silver dollars, at the time the richest Spanish treasure to fall into English hands. As Cavendish's own ship was too small to carry all the treasure, and that he did not have enough men to sail the galleon, so he burnt it, and the remains of the treasure sank to the bottom of the harbour. it might be still there. The Third, a Spanish warship carrying 112 guns and launched in 1794. captured by the English at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
The fourth was a Spanish ship of 220 tonnes which was captured by the English in October 1806, used as a whale and seal cargo boat, it was wrecked in the Straits of Timor in 1812 while carrying a load of whale oil.
