As Salaamu alaykum and Good day everyone, recently Ive spent a little fortune on trying to resolve my overheating problem on 2000 model tazz 1300.

From the replacing of the radiator cap several time to the thermostat,

the car blew the head gasket and head needed to be skimmed. the cost amounted to over R3000. the core of the problem was the actual waterpump, normal one would think it would make a noise if broken but its not, only on removing it we found that the little propeller inside was rusted gone, so no flow of cool water to neither engine nor the heater fan. cost of water pump to be replaced R500. the water pump (WP) is located on the drive-side underneath the engine mounting. Oh yes, if u have a WP with a fixed pulley it will cost more, if the pulley (little wheel attached to the WP) is bolted onto the WP with 4 size 10 nuts its loose pulley WP. price R400 with with loose pulley R250.
