Yes, bald eagles emit a high pitch squeaking sound that can sound very mechanical and complex. They communicate in a series of these chattering squeaks. They actually sound nothing like a hawk.

The male and female Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) is known to scream loudly to drive predators away from their nests, and also to establish their territory. Females pipe a high-pitched sound to attract her favorite suitor, and juveniles cry for food.
