The movement of a peacock is called a "strut." This behavior involves the peacock walking with a distinctive swagger, often accompanied by the spreading of its vibrant tail feathers to attract a mate. The strut is a key component of the peacock's courtship display, showcasing its physical health and genetic fitness to potential partners.

The peacocks that roam my complex walk. Peacocks can only fly short distances because their wings are small and their bodies large. They sleep as high up as they can get to feel comfortable and can jump/fly pretty high up in trees by starting with the lowest branch.

I'm not sure how to answer the "what it does" part. Mine just wander aimlessly about the complex!
