Nothing really, except he might not be getting the right nutrition. Some bird seeds are heavy on things like thistle or sunflower to attract a certain kind of bird. Too much of those seeds would be bad for most tame birds. There are three categories of food for pet birds: seed, pellets, and people food. My birds won't eat pellets so they get seed and people food. If you eat well, easy on the meat and a good amount of fruits and veggies, your bird can eat what you eat with a little seed on the side.
The answer would be yes and no. The tamed birds would be able to eat it, but it lacks the nutrients the bird would need to function properly. I would not rely on wild bird food to feed to your pet daily, but if you ran out of birdseed you usually feed it and it would be a few days before you could get some more, then, by all means, do not be afraid of poisoning your bird with wild bird food.
A squirrel eats a berry, a bird eats the squirrel, a turkey eats the bird, and a human eats the turkey.

You have to look at what eats what. Like the grasshopper eats grass, and the bird eats the grasshopper, and so on.
When a bird eats a worm, the worm becomes part of the bird's food source and will be broken down in the bird's digestive system for nutrients.
