Well, the chicken as a whole is not endangered, but certain breeds are. For example, the Campine and the Sumatra are two breeds out of many that are critically endangered. Check out the American Breed Conservancy list website for more endangered poultry and livestock!
There are many exotic breeds of cattle, sheep, goat, and poultry birds. This depends on the original location in question.
Shamo chickens can be obtained through breeder links at the Livestock Conservancy. You also might try the American Poultry Association for breeder contacts for this rare breed. Mybackyard chicken is another good source for rare breeds.

There are several poultry keepers forums and information websites as well, some of which have poultry book review sections. It depends how much detailed information you want really. There are also (surprisingly?) many really detailed books on single breeds. Try looking on Ebay & Amazon. chicken, fich, and eggs "fich" is not a thing, and fiSh is not poultry. Eggs are a poultry's egg and if you're referring to chicken eggs, then they are also chickens. Some REAL examples of poultry are chicken, turkey, and pheasant. ^Win Added: The question poster may also be referring to the three catagories commonly used to sort breeds by purpose: Layers (eggs), Broilers (meat) and Dual-Purpose (both)
