Baby robins need to eat every 10-20 minutes from dawn to dusk, with a 2-3 hour break around midday. Feed them bits of sweet fruits like melon, apple, berries, etc. You can also give them bits of grain bread soaked in clean water.

Do not feed wet cat/dog food as this very easily clogs the breathing holes on the inside of the beak.

I recommend a pair of fine tipped tweezers and very carefully dropping each bit into the open beak. The bird should have a bowel movement each or every other feeding.

Hi I have raised Flegling woodpeckers

fledling are fully feathered For the first few days I feed every 2 hrs from 6 am untill 12 midnight Wax worms are wonderful as they hold liquid Wet kitten chow can be soked as it is a good sourse of protine Never put liquid

in the baby birds mouth they will swollow it into there lungs They get all the hydration they need from the moist insects I also add Headless krickets as soon as the babys are eating well and flighting around I feed every 3 hrs untill they are eating food on there own

I place food headless krickets headless wax worms small bits of apple or bannana or canalope Also I still offer moist kitten chow

at night as soon as the baby is strong eating on its own and can fly at least 4 ft off the ground & approx 8 ft in lengths I can usually release But it depends on each bird as date of release usually within 3 -4 weeks

Baby Fledglings are ready to fly

Every hour as the mother bird would do this. Except over night as they will be asleep.
