"Bats are mammals. They don't lay eggs."
Note that the question was how many do they produce, not lay. All female mammals produce eggs (or ova). The human female, for example, produces approximately 400,000 ova, all of which are present in the ovaries at birth. I do not know how many ova the female bat produces, except to say that it is definitely greater than zero, or they would never be able to reproduce.
