If an albino hummingbird survived to breeding age, like any other hummingbird she would lay two eggs per nest and have up to three nests per season. A normally-colored hummingbird would live 4 to 6 years on average, but an albino would be lucky to live more than a few months.
Mothers give young water to keep them cool.
A hummingbird has four heart chambers, has do all birds.
The mother hummingbird raises her babies alone.Once the male hummingbird mates with the female, he is off with another. She builds the nest alone, incubates her brood , continues to feed them, and she even helps them to find their first food source. By remaining close by for a period of time after they leave the nest, she continue to be a good mom.
A hummingbird's nest is very small and hard to see because they camouflage it with their surroundings. Each species of the hummingbird builds their nests differently but all are made to safely accommodate their babies.
