Trees are often used as a symbol of time because they represent growth, strength, and the passage of time through their changing seasons. Their long lifespan and deep roots also symbolize endurance, resilience, and the interconnectedness of past, present, and future. Furthermore, the annual cycle of growth, shedding leaves, and regrowth can be seen as a metaphor for the cyclical nature of time.
A tree is often seen as a symbol of life, growth, and strength because it starts as a seed and grows tall and strong over time. Trees can also symbolize wisdom, protection, and connection to nature. In many cultures, trees are revered for their beauty and resilience.
Trees located near factories can accumulate dust on their leaves due to air pollution emitted by the factory. Pollutants such as particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides can settle on the leaves, blocking sunlight and disrupting the trees' ability to photosynthesize. Over time, this can weaken the trees and affect their overall health.
"A Shropshire Lad," the collection that includes the poem "Loveliest of trees," was written by A.E. Housman and published in 1896. The poem reflects on the beauty of nature and the fleeting nature of life, particularly youth. Housman's works often explore themes of love, loss, and the passage of time.

I don't think that there is such a thing, universally recognised, as a "dishwasher safe" symbol. People often confuse the Glass and Fork symbol, which simply means that the item is safe for food contact. It is high time that products carried a simple, universal range of symbols which indicate their suitability for microwaves, ovens, dishwashers etc. It would make our lives much easier.
