There is theory, and then there is THEORY. At one time it must have been a theory in someone's head that the moon orbits planet earth, and we know that it was theorized for centuries that planet earth orbits the sun. No thinking person would now consider these ideas as anything but ordinary, indisputable facts. The observations needed to support or refute 'theories' of this kind are such that results are clear and interpretation is usually obvious and absolute. Other ideas like String Theory and Quantum Theory are much more fundamental to the underlying nature of the universe, and testing and observation are more subtle and sometimes more difficult to interpret. Theories of this kind may be experimentally disproven, but it is not likely that we will ever find a way to prove them beyond any possible doubt now and for all future time.
Whether you consider Cell Theory to belong the the first or the second category above will determine how your question is answered. Is there any possibility whatsoever, now or for the entire future story of human science, that some form of non-cell based life will be discovered, on earth or elsewhere? It is a yes or no question, but anyone presuming to answer 'no' on behalf of all future science is being a little presumptuous. So, it is in fact a theory, and not a fact. The same can be said, I think, for other theories like Evolution. Some parts of it appear amazingly obvious and irrefutably true. But the future is a long, long time. Theories have come and gone before.
The cell theory is considered a scientific theory because it provides a comprehensive explanation for the fundamental properties of cells, their structure, and function. It is supported by a large body of evidence from various scientific disciplines, such as Biology, chemistry, and genetics. The cell theory has been tested, validated, and widely accepted by the scientific community.
If scientists were to discover a new type of organism that does not fit the characteristics of cells as defined by cell theory, such as lacking a cell membrane or having a fundamentally different structure, then they may consider revising the cell theory to account for this new finding.
Viruses are not considered part of the cell theory because they are acellular entities that require a host cell to replicate.
The structural unit of the cell theory is the cell. The cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all living organisms.
Striated muscle fibers are considered an exception to the cell theory because they are multinucleated, meaning they have multiple nuclei within a single cell. This contradicts the cell theory's principle that states all living organisms are composed of one or more cells.
Janet Plowe did not develop the cell theory. The cell theory was formulated by Matthias Schleiden, Theodor Schwann, and Rudolf Virchow in the 19th century.

Cell theory is one of many subdivisions of scientific theory. Therefore, since cell theory IS scientific theory, I don't see how you can compare them. This is like saying compare mammals to squirrels.
The name of the theory that Schleiden and Schwann developed is the cell theory.
Because a theory is not completely proved yet and it could not be completely proven yet or it was called that before they proved it and they just kept the same name so people knew what they were talking about!!!!! :)
the cell thery
they official formulated the cell theory in 1665
No, the germ theory and the cell theory are not the same. The germ theory explains that certain microorganisms can cause diseases, while the cell theory states that all living organisms are composed of cells as the fundamental units of structure and function.
cell theoryThe cause of cell theory is observations of schleiden, schwann, and Virchow
Robert virchow, theodor schwann, schleiden are the cell theory
The cell theory applies to all organisms.
Viruses
if it is a story you need to spell, if there is a theory then its the cell
