Still needs a valid answer. What's the purpose functionally of the 2 valves being differently shaped?
I was proposed the same question by a student today, and the only answer I can come up with, besides because our common ancestors have it that way is there is a limitation of room in left ventricle. However what we think causes it is the fusion of the valves tissue from 3 cusps into 2 in human development.
The bicuspid valve (mitral valve) has two cusps because it separates the left atrium from the left ventricle, which requires more pressure to prevent backflow. The tricuspid valve has three cusps because it separates the right atrium from the right ventricle, which experiences lower pressure compared to the left side and thus requires three cusps for effective closure.
No, the state tree of Iowa is the Oak tree. The Oak tree was designated as the state tree in 1961.
Kanuga tree is known as Sweetgum tree in English.
The common name for the terebinth tree is the turpentine tree.
The Provincial tree of West Bengal is the Chatim Tree (Alstonia scholaris). It is also known as the Devil Tree or Blackboard Tree.
The Pine is the official state tree of Arkansas.

The upper part of the heart is made up of the other two chambers of the heart, called the right and left atria(pronounced: ay-tree-uh). The right and left atria receive the blood entering the heart. A wall called the interatrial(pronounced: in-tur-ay-tree-ul) septum divides the atria, and they're separated from the ventricles by the atrioventricular (pronounced: ay-tree-oh-ven-trik-yoo-lur) valve. The tricuspid valve separates the right atrium from the right ventricle, and the mitral (pronounced: my-trul) valve separates the left atrium and the left ventricle. Two other heart valves separate the ventricles and the large blood vessels that carry blood leaving the heart. These valves are called the pulmonic valve, which separates the right ventricle from the pulmonary artery leading to the lungs, and the aortic valve, which separates the left ventricle from the aorta, the body's largest blood vessel.
iT IS A VALVE USED IN OIL AND GAS DRILLING RIGS TO CLOSE IN THE DRILL STRING TO PREVENT A BLOW OUT T.I.W. is really a brand name which stands for: Texas Iron Works. The Valves on drilling rigs in the drillstring are often refered to as TIW Valve these are really Upper Kelly and Lower Kelly. More often the Safety Valve which is used on Work-over and Completions of well and/or work done through the Christmas Tree is also refered to as a TIW type valve. They all are used for pressure control.

The valve clearance for the Isuzu 6HE1 engine is typically set at 0.40mm for both intake and exhaust valves. It is important to follow the manufacturer's specifications for valve clearance to ensure proper engine performance and longevity. Regularly checking and adjusting the valve clearance can help prevent issues such as poor engine operation, loss of power, and potential damage to the valves and valve seats.
It's quite easy. API 6A speaks about wellhead and x-mas tree equipment, API 6D speaks about pipeline valves. If you are phisically looking to one valve, you can also understand if it belows to 6A or 6D giving a look to the valve label. On the label you can read the class of the valve. If the class is 2000 or 3000 or 5000 or 10000 or 15000 or 20000 the valve is 6A. If the class is 125 or 150 or 300 or 400 or 600 or 900 or 1500 or 2500 the valve probably is a 6D ("probably" because the same classes of API 6D are used also by other API standards, like 594, 600, 608, ecc ecc).
