Xtra-vision was founded in 1979 in Ireland.
Central vision refers to the clear, detailed vision that occurs at the center of our field of view. Fringe vision includes the area surrounding central vision and provides some detail but less clarity. Peripheral vision refers to the outer edges of our vision field, detecting motion and objects in our surroundings but with limited detail.
The two main types of vision are central vision and peripheral vision. Central vision is focused vision that allows us to see details clearly, while peripheral vision detects motion and objects in our surroundings.
Tunnel vision can be managed but may not be completely cured. Treatment options such as eye exercises, vision therapy, and in some cases, surgery, can help improve peripheral vision and reduce the severity of tunnel vision. However, the underlying cause of tunnel vision will determine the effectiveness of treatment.
Field vision refers to the full extent of what a person can see without moving their eyes. It includes both central vision (what you see directly in front of you) and peripheral vision (what you can see out of the corners of your eyes). It is not the same as your outermost vision, which could refer to what is at the edges of your peripheral vision.
