homeostasis is a name (or best to say a category IMO) for processes which keeps the internal environment constant ... E.g. you get dehydrated, your body will make the urine you produce more concentrated to try and keep the body system at correct levels

Homeostasis refers to the body's ability to regulate its internal environment to maintain a stable, constant condition, despite external changes. It involves processes that help maintain parameters such as temperature, pH, and nutrient levels within a narrow range to support proper functioning of cells and organs.

What is the difference between organism and homeostasis?

An organism is a living individual that can carry out all the functions of life, while homeostasis is the ability of an organism to maintain stable internal conditions despite external changes. In other words, an organism is the living being itself, while homeostasis refers to the process that helps the organism maintain internal equilibrium.

One characteristic of all living organism is that they?

All living organisms maintain homeostasis.

Whats one specific living organism maintains homeostasis?

Homeostasis is how a physical environment keeps itself stable. One organism that helps maintain homeostasis is the presence of algae.

Can a human be a organism?

Yes, a human is an organism. An organism is any individual living system that can respond to stimuli, grow, reproduce, and maintain homeostasis, all of which humans are capable of doing.

What organisms need these processes to living?

Every organism must maintain homeostasis as long as it lives to survive.

Which organisms keep their internal conditions fairly constant?

almost every living organism uses homeostasis to do this

What four things is an organism made up of in order for it to survive?

The organism needs food, water, homeostasis (body temperature is healthy) and living space.

What is an example of something that lacks the basic structures of a living organism and cannot metabolize or maintain homeostasis?

A rock is an example of something that lacks the basic structures of a living organism and cannot metabolize or maintain homeostasis. Rocks do not have cells, organelles, or the ability to perform the functions necessary for life.

What is the name for any living object?

The term for any living object is organism. Organisms are individual living entities that can grow, reproduce, respond to stimuli, and maintain homeostasis.

Why is homeostosis important to organism?

Homeostasis is important to an organism because it is the correct living environment for that organism to live in. The human body need to stay at a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, with a pH around 7.4 in most areas, and have even breathing in order for it to survive. Homeostasis allows this to happen.

What are four thing you have to do to be considered a living organism?

To be considered a living organism, you must be able to grow and develop, maintain homeostasis by regulating internal conditions, respond to stimuli from the environment, and reproduce to pass on genetic information to offspring.

What word has the meaning derived fro a living organism?

Organic.
