The most severe disease with this symptom is Parkinson's, but this is usually not the case and is most likely something non-serious, such as having too much caffiene, having a low blood sugar level and anxiety.

One thing that it can be is Essential Tremor, or what the other person said Parkinson's disease, blood sugar, anxiety, too much caffeine, and etc.

small shake in hands is normal and is created by the movement of blood in your veins. However if hands are unreasonably shaky the problem should be consulted with the patients doctor. A good way to test the severity of the shakiness is to lightly hold a pen in on hand and a piece of paper in the other. Slightly touch the tip of the pen with the paper in a way that the pen will leave a mark put no pressure is on the tip of the pen to prevent it from moving. Make sure that your hands are not supported and are completely on their own. ie. they are not supported by a table or you lap. try to hold your hands in that position and see if the pen makes only one dot or if it moves on the paper and makes many random and scrambled lines. Be sure to talk to your doctor if you detect even the smallest abnormalities.

There are several different diseases which can cause the body to start shaking. If the shaking is particularly violent, this could be epilepsy. A less violent shaking could be Parkinson's disease. But there are several other possibilities. Factors such as cold, nervousness, or fatigue can also result in shaking of various kinds.
