Hyper-selectionism, in the philosophy of Biology, refers to people who attribute all (or nearly all) evolutionary change to natural selection, and ignore, disregard or minimize the significance of so-called "random" sorting mechanisms such as genetic drift.

The term is usually applied as a criticism of someone else's work. Nobody refers to themselves as a hyper-selectionist.

It's not a disease, so I think you might have asked in the wrong forum.

Hyper-selectionism is an extreme form of the theory of evolution that emphasizes the role of natural selection to the exclusion of other factors like genetic drift or gene flow. It suggests that almost all traits of an organism are a direct result of adaptation through natural selection. However, this view is controversial and not widely accepted in the scientific community.
